Jader Bignamini

One of the boldest and most-watched conductors of the late 2010s, Jader Bignamini was named the music director of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in January of 2020. His full ascent to the podium was blocked by the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic a few months later. Bignamini also has wide experience as an opera conductor. With his new orchestra in Detroit, he recorded the Blues Symphony of Wynton Marsalis for the Pentatone label in 2025.
