Alexander Malofeev

Alexander Malofeev is one of the most talented pianists of his generation, renowned for the ease and drama with which he plays highly technical repertoire, especially the great works of the 19th century Russian tradition. Malofeev studied at renowned conservatories in Russia before coming to international attention as a young teenager, winning multiple major piano competitions, including first prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians at just 13 years old. He has a wide range of repertoire with a commanding sense of artistry and technical control, with his interpretations of Rachmaninov's piano concertos and other major works for piano receiving special praise. Malofeev's solo debut album, Forgotten Melodies, was released in 2026.
