England's the Maccabees traffic in angular indie rock in the vein of contemporaries like Foals and early Arcade Fire, combining bracing guitar work and introspective lyrics with a dynamic post-punk/art pop aesthetic. They issued four critically acclaimed albums, including Given to the Wild and Marks to Prove It, before disbanding in 2017 and re-forming in 2024.
