In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Novvo has been inching toward this moment for most of his adult life. My first solo experience with music-making came while getting a law degree from Obafemi Awolowo University where an eruptive music and cultural scene was taking roots. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bryson Tiller, T R A P S O U L (Deluxe) Kizz Daniel, New Era Wizkid, Made In Lagos: Deluxe Edition Made in Lagos, Trapsoul & New Era shaped how I hear music — from Wizkid’s premium sound and Bryson’s emotional flow to Kizz Daniel’s foresight. This is my debut release and this song represents the inception of my journey to myself. Taking life one step at a time is the best way to conquer the fear of the unknown. If I could speak with God, I’d thank him for lending me the gift of tune. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing my first show after months of silence. Hearing people sing my lyrics reminded me that what I create in private really connects — that moment turned doubt into direction. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To perform on every continent — not just for exposure, but to see how far emotion in Afrobeats can travel when it’s real.
