NYVES

NYVES is a dark synth pop/industrial side project of Demon Hunter vocalist Ryan Clark and former Project 86 member Randy Torres. Longtime friends and musical collaborators, the pair started the project in 2013 in order to divert from their metal-based main projects and create something more electronic. The full-length debut Anxiety arrived on Seattle-based Spartan Records in 2015, featuring ten of the duo's brooding, tense original compositions, as well as a cover of the Psychedelic Furs' "Love My Way." Just over a year later, the duo returned with the Pressure EP, a more electronic-based set of songs that drew comparisons to Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode. ~ Paul Simpson
