In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Seeing Minutemen open for REM in the mid 80’s was quickening for us. A roadmap. That night showed us that punk can go off in any direction you want it to, it wasn’t a template it was a launch pad. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? The Cramps, Bad Music For Bad People The Rolling Stones, Exile On Main Street (2010 Remaster) X, Wild Gift Bonus Tracks We never got over the twisted glamour and pounding rock rhythm that the Cramps gave the world. Exile is the Stones at their shabbiest and most creative and the band X from Los Angeles gave us hope that you could think, feel and rock at the same time. Tell us why you chose this song. “Wild Men of Borneo” After fruitlessly searching for the graves of 19th century circus folk in Knox County, OH we went home dispirited. Then Ed Mann (bass) came up with this incredible song about an (admittedly) more romantic and craven search for Hiram and Barney Davis.
