In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At about 6 years old, playing “Au clair de la lune” on piano, its a French folk song from the 18th century. Its composer and lyricist are unknown, and it holds a unique place in history as the first piece of music ever recorded. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? D'Angelo, Voodoo J Dilla, Donuts Oneohtrix Point Never, Replica I think Voodoo and Donuts are one of the great masterpieces of Black music, it represents a time where soulful drum experimentation was truly at its height. Replica was kind of an intro for me in experimental ambient music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “hydro” This track because it was produced pretty early on in my career as NEXCYIA and the production on it feels funny but there's also this weird stripped down dubby groove that made it feel like a soundscape for a video game.
