About Zoh Amba

Tenor saxophonist/multi-instrumentalist Zoh Amba plays bold, intensely combustible free jazz that transcends her rural Appalachian Tennessee upbringing. A protege of saxophonist David Murray, she debuted to acclaim with 2022's John Zorn-produced O, Sun and worked alongside drummer Tyshawn Sorey and bassist William Parker. In 2025, she showcased her own small group on Sun.
