Drawing from pop, rock and even country, Canadian rapper and singer Ollie makes emotionally honest music his listeners can relate to. • Ollie hails from Simcoe, Ontario, along Lake Erie. He initially used the name Ollie Raps while uploading music to various platforms. • He and his brother survived a severe auto accident. Ollie’s 2020 full-length debut, Maybe this Was Supposed to Happen, opens with a 911 dispatch call from the crash. • The accident forced Ollie to suspend his college studies and give up his dreams of being a professional footballer. Instead he focused his attention on music. • After building an audience, Ollie signed with Warner Music and released the 2019 EP Lost. The title track became a streaming hit.
