Danny Elfman, Edward Scissorhands (Music From the Motion Picture) Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Elliott Smith, Figure 8 Kendrick Lamar, good kid, m.A.A.d city Danny Elfman's score is wintry wonder that avoids feeling dreary. All of Kendrick's work has flattened me, but this was my entry point. Elliott somehow imbued the most classic, perfect songwriting with punk rock in ways that informed immeasurably.
