Despite a bite-sized discography, there’s ample proof of the singer’s precociousness on singles like “Fear”, “Innocent” and “I Find My Way”, where she emotes about the complexities of love and affirms her talent while reconfiguring influences from spoken word, soul and Congolese rumba into a singular style. On this, her debut project, she leans further into her style while exploring the dimensions of love and romance.
