About Frank Strobel
Conductor Frank Strobel is a specialist in film music, in which field he has served a variety of functions. He has restored silent film scores, conducted new film music on soundtracks and in concert, and has generally championed the relationship between film music and concert music. A reconstructed version of Fritz Lang's film Metropolis in 2012, with Strobel conducting the music, received worldwide attention. Strobel has been heard on various recordings, including Christopher Young: Nosferatu - A Symphony of Horror in 2024.
