Joy Lapps

Canadian steel pannist, composer, and bandleader Joy Lapps is known for her vibrant blend of contemporary jazz with Afro-Caribbean and Afro-Brazilian traditions. She has worked with the nonprofit Pan Fantasy and released her own albums, including 2004's How Great Thou Art, 2006's Make a Joyful Noise, and 2014's Morning Sunrise. In 2022, she showcased her quintet on Girl in the Yard.
