In the artist’s words: What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? David Bowie, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (2012 Remaster) Iron Maiden, Powerslave (Limited Edition) Mastodon, Crack the Skye All of these albums have had a profound impact on the development of all the musicians of Howdytoons, in song construction, but also in remembering that music should be fun! All of these albums are masterclasses in dramatic storytelling through song! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Velociraptor” We first brought in James Reid for "Velociraptor," and his contributions were nothing short of amazing! He’s been a staple of the Howdytoons writing team ever since. This track really kicked off a new era of collaborative songwriting for us. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting various metal royalty musicians to agree to play on our songs! From Marco Minnemann, Rody Walker, Billy Shehan, their working with us showed us that we are not only making music for kids, but for the metal community at large! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We would love to get as many dinosaur and other prehistoric songs as we possibly can out there. This could mean making a series like Dinostory, or even continuing, or doing more stand alone stories. We’d also love to do some live shows at some point!
