Akini's Tea House

Akini’s Tea House is a curated DJ Mix series on Apple Music, conceived by multidisciplinary artist and musician Akini Jing, whose work explores the intersections of electronic music, technology and contemporary Chinese aesthetics. The series is inspired by the traditional Chinese tea house, a quiet refuge at the margins where travellers, outsiders and seekers once gathered. Akini’s Tea House reimagines this space through sound— global grooves steeped in layers of identity, rhythm and myth. Whether by Akini herself or guest artists from around the world, each mix is a shared tale—intimate, expansive and unbound by genre. The spirit of the jianghu 江湖 runs throughout: a parallel world shaped by its own codes and poetics, often hidden from view. Here, identity is fluid, form is open and masters often hide in plain sight.
