Himmat Sandhu

Punjabi pop star Himmat Sandhu first came to wider attention on the reality TV singing competition Voice of Punjab, where he finished as second runner-up on the seventh season in 2017. That same year, he released his debut single, the impactful “Saab”. The folk-flavoured track cemented Sandhu as a name to watch—expectations he has more than lived up to since. Raised in the Uttar Pradesh town of Lakhimpur, Sandhu dropped out of high school to study music in Bathinda. He has since become one of the most dependable figures in the Punjabi music industry, his understated personality belying a chameleon-like versatility. By the end of 2025, he had released more than 150 tracks—spanning singles, EPs and albums—moving seamlessly between romantic ballads, buoyant bhangra, hard-hitting hip-hop and dance-friendly pop.
