

’90s Alternative Videos
Alternative rock became a titanic cultural phenomonen in the ’90s, bringing with it distorted guitars, angst and a bevy of memorable videos. The artists in this movement loved to play around with colour to express emotion, such as in the hyper-saturated, DayGlo punk of Green Day’s “Basket Case” clip, or in the stark, black-and-white minimalism of Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus” video.
