Yu-Peng Chen

Yu-Peng Chen is a composer of mainly soundtracks who excels at integrating grand Western orchestral arrangements with traditional folk instruments. He is most famous for his many monumental contributions to video game music, especially for the global hit Genshin Impact RPG franchise. Of the many albums of music that his work on that game spawned are City of Winds and Idylls and the award-winning Jade Moon Upon a Sea of Clouds, both from 2020. In addition to the compelling East-West cultural blending, Chen's style is characterized by its clear and beautiful melodic lines, emotional depth, and lush neo-Romantic orchestration. In 2024, he released the original soundtrack of the game Project Woolgatherer under the title of A Promise of Dreams, and he produced the Fantasyland album with the London Symphony Orchestra.
