Sigrid & Marina

Sigrid & Marina, the Hutterer sisters, are a vocal duo from Gmunden, Austria, who play schlager and traditional Volksmusik. Sigrid Hutterer was born on April 9, 1981 and Marina was born on August 12, 1984. The duo got their professional start in 1998 when they entered a televised talent contest. From that broadcast they became popular enough to release their first single later in the year. In 2004 they released their debut album, Mein Herz Sehnt Sich So Sehr Nach Liebe. Since then they have issued numerous recordings that have appeared on both the album and singles charts in Austria. The sisters are also very popular in the U.K., thanks to airplay on BBC radio. ~ Al Campbell
