New Orleans-based underground rapper Scrim is known for his dark, edgy hip-hop. He first garnered attention as a member of the duo $uicideboy$ before releasing his 2020 debut solo album, A Man Rose from the Dead, and he stuck to heavy subject matter and a deep inspection of personal demons on his charting 2024 sophomore effort, Lonely Boy. In 2025, he issued the follow-up via crucis.
