About Arkells
Arkells took their name from Arkell Street, in Hamilton, Ontario, where they lived and rehearsed. ∙ They’ve won six Juno Awards, including New Group of the Year (2010) and Group of the Year (2012). ∙ Four of their albums have been certified Gold in Canada. ∙ WHL hockey team The Calgary Hitmen used Arkells’ single “Whistleblower” as their intro song. ∙ The band traveled to South Korea to play for the Canadian team at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
