About Jhay Jackson
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a child in Ghana, I sat in church surrounded by drums, clapping, and soaring harmonies. That worship stirred my spirit and revealed that music is more than sound, it’s a divine tool of healing, faith, and connection with God. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dunsin Oyekan, Fragrance to Fire - EP Joe Mettle, God of Miracles Live Nathaniel Bassey, Iba (feat. Dunsin Oyekan & Dasola Akinbule) - EP Dunsin Oyekan’s Fragrance to Fire showed me how worship ushers God’s presence. Joe Mettle’s God of Miracles connects my Ghanaian roots with global gospel, while Nathaniel Bassey’s The River stirs revival through spirit-filled trumpet worship. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Nyame Wo Ha (God Is Here)” I chose Nyame Wo Ha (God Is Here) because it carries a deep message of God’s presence and freedom. The song is special to me because it was birthed in prayer and has become a declaration of faith that uplifts and transforms lives whenever it’s sung. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I was leading worship at a local church event where the atmosphere shifted as we sang together. Seeing people break down in tears, receive healing, and lift their voices reminded me why I sing; to create encounters with God’s presence. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? One of my dreams to record a powerful live worship album that not only captures the raw atmosphere of God’s presence but also travels beyond Africa to bless nations. To create music that sparks revival and draws people closer to God across the world
