About Yung Rep

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 11 years old, I performed for my school's student council. Because I was running for president, I rapped about how great of a leader I'd be. Since then, I've wanted to be the one to take the initiative and build a reputation for myself. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Drake, Nothing Was the Same J. Cole, Cole World: The Sideline Story Lil Wayne, Tha Carter IV When I was younger, those were some of my favorite albums. Since then, I've listened to many great albums, but those were the standouts. The bars, story-telling, production, and melodies on those albums all relate to me. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “2am in Lubbock” This song is special because of the impact it has had on listeners and how closely they can identify with it. There are others out there just like me. Considering the things that were brought into their life, I share the same emotions. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment of my career had to be when I opened for Lil Keke in Odessa, Texas. The fact that I was opening for a Houston legend made the concert more memorable. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? What's left on my bucket list is to create an R&B and a Pop album. I've always appreciated those genres and plan to add my own style to these genres later in my career.
