Cactus Lee

Cactus Lee is the solo project of Austin musician Kevin Dehan, a singer/songwriter steeped in the classic sounds of artists like Gene Clark, Townes Van Zandt, and Jackson C. Frank. His laid-back songs evoke a dreamlike version of Texas music where country, folk, and psychedelia blur with D.I.Y. indie sensibilities. Since launching the project in 2019, Dehan has been remarkably prolific, releasing at least one new album every year. His sound has shifted over the years, from the honky tonk-oriented style of 2019's Texas Yard Sale to a more sonically diverse tone on later releases like 2023's Caravan and 2025's Cactus Lee, his second self-titled set and first for the Western Vinyl label. He returned a year later with a distinctly vintage vibe on Lee's Dream.
