I Prevail

After breaking into the spotlight with a cheeky cover, the Michigan hard rock outfit I Prevail has built a career—and topped the charts—with their hybridized post-hardcore sound. ∙ Formed in 2013, the group debuted the following year with a cover of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space,” which quickly went viral and has since been certified Platinum. ∙ Lifelines, their 2016 debut album, crossed over into the pop charts, landing at No. 15 on the Billboard 200. ∙ Beginning with 2016’s “Alone,” I Prevail has landed four tracks in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs chart, and 2019’s “Hurricane” went all the way to No. 1. ∙ Kyle Gass (of Tenacious D) starred in the group’s 2017 video for “Already Dead.” ∙ Their 2019 Trauma LP earned them two Grammy nominations—one for Best Rock Album, and another for first single “Bow Down,” which was nominated for Best Metal Performance. ∙ With touring on hold during 2020 due to the pandemic, I Prevail offered fans Post Traumatic, a live version of their Trauma album.
