About LAV!
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up writing poetry since I was as young as I could remember. In elementary school, I took it a step further and performed Michael Jackson songs every year at the talent show. I enjoyed performing more than anything and never forgot the feeling. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Arctic Monkeys, AM Jon Bellion, The Human Condition Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy I think there's something special about a body of work, that every time you listen to it, you hear AND learn something new. MBDTF, AM, and The Human Condition embody human expression in the purest sense. They make me feel. They make me understand. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “200 Mercy” 200 Mercy is the first song I wrote for Self Therapy. This is the turning point of my life, transitioning me into a full time Musician. I came home tired of working a 9-5 and wrote this song, giving myself a 6 month deadline to create my first album. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The moment I saw that I got my first Apple Music placement changed EVERYTHING for me. That's when I realized that it wasn't all for nothing, there were people out there that enjoyed the music I was making. That placement changed my life. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to be a mentor for younger artists that don't think they'll amount to anything with this "dream" that they're chasing. I want to make my artistry reflect cinema in its truest capacity and show that it was never just a dream.
