Georgia rapper Nine Vicious has long been linked to Young Thug, both stylistically and as a signee to Thugger’s YSL label. Vicious broke through by showcasing the sort of unpredictable flow and knack for melodies that made Thug a superstar, particularly on 2025’s FOR NOTHING and B4EM, released in January 2026. On EMOTIONS, his second release of 2026, he builds from that foundation, but stretches his POV into more directions than ever before. On opener “Talk About It”, he employs heavy layers of Auto-Tune to give his voice plenty of texture, as playful ad-libs dart across the track like shooting stars. “Purple Swag” leans into the rage rap pioneered by another Atlanta standout, Playboi Carti, bringing an infectious passion that marks the tape’s energetic peak. The album’s other tentpole showcases more emotional, reflective tracks, like “Love Album”, in which Nine Vicious proves himself to be a loyal, eager partner.
