About B-Smirk
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Walking back home from school I realised I accidentally downloaded the instrumental of Mrs Officer instead of the actual song on my Nokia XpressMusic. When it came on I just found myself rapping about my day and thats when my life changed forever. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? J. Cole, 2014 Forest Hills Drive Kanye West, 808s & Heartbreak Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly I chose 808s & Heartbreak for its emotional depth, To Pimp a Butterfly for its social commentary and 2014 Forest Hills Drive for its relatable storytelling. These albums resonate with me on personal and societal levels hence making my all-time list. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ladies First (feat. KAI)” "Ladies First" is my favorite song because it celebrates women, highlighting their struggles and sacrifices. It promotes empathy and equality, making it special by empowering and acknowledging women's experiences. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One unforgettable career moment was performing my debut single in front of over 1000 people. The crowd's energy, chanting my lyrics, gave me chills. It was the moment I knew I was destined for greatness in the hip-hop world. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My bucket list as an artist includes collaborating in production with the legend Kanye West and headlining major music festivals worldwide. I'm also eager to launch a music charity to support underprivileged youth in pursuing their musical dreams.
