Half Moon Run

Canadian indie-rock band Half Moon Run’s debut single, 2012’s “Full Circle,” was featured in the trailer for the best-selling video game Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag. ∙ After seeing their first-ever London show in 2013, Mumford & Sons keyboardist Ben Lovett said, “[They are] potentially one of the most important bands debuting an album this year.” ∙ The group enlisted producer Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adele) to helm their second album, Sun Leads Me On, a Top 10 hit in the US and Canada. ∙ A Blemish in the Great Light, their third album, won the 2020 Juno Award for Adult Alternative Album of the Year. ∙ 2020’s The Covideo Sessions features “isolation versions” of 11 tracks recorded while each band member sheltered in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
