Tiny Sun

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Tiny Sun is the music art project of Dragonette, The Henrys’ front man Don Rooke, and film score writer and arranger Jonathan Goldsmith. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Written over the course of several years the pieces range in style from cinematic lush soundscapes to lap steel country twang with many deviations on the way. The only prevailing constant is the length of the pieces: All under 2 minutes. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? An idea born in a time well before the whittled-down song length so prevalent in mainstream music. The pieces, through the only constraint of brevity, string together like little distinctive beads in a necklace, each unique but belonging together.
