Kid Loco

About Kid Loco

French producer, DJ, and musician Kid Loco makes downtempo electronic music which incorporates influences such as psychedelia, orchestral pop, and dub reggae. The former punk rocker made an impact with his solo full-length debut, chillout favorite A Grand Love Story (1997), and became a prolific, in-demand remixer and DJ. His second proper album, 2001's Kill Your Darlings, was a more vocal-driven indie electronic set, and he continued to work with featured singer Tim Keegan, producing his band the Departure Lounge's final release. Kid Loco delved into soundtrack work with 2004's The Graffiti Artist, and continued issuing mix albums and compilations, as well as the occasional album of original material, such as 2024's guest-heavy Concrete Islands, Lies & Vanités. During the 2020s, he also had fun releasing covers collections like Kraft Dub Werk (2024) and Papyco Why Do Your Covers Smell So Funky? (2026).
