About The Connection Machine

Jeroen Brandjes and Natasja Hagemeier formed the Connection Machine in 1993. After a series of small, limited releases on their local circuit, a tape of their most recent works found its way into Planet E founder/DJ Carl Craig's hands. Craig promptly released the Bitflower EP in 1994 to critical acclaim, and the duo quickly developed a cult following. A follow-up EP was released on the Dutch label U-Trax in 1995. But, the group mysteriously decided to stop recording in 1996. A full-length album was long rumored to have been delivered to Planet E although for reasons unknown hidden in the label's vaults. However, Downlow Recordings managed to get hold of these tapes and extra material, and released the breathtaking full-length Painless in 2005. ~ Rob Theakston
