In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was about 12 years old I vividly remember hearing a big band for the first time, and was totally hooked! The thing that really stuck with me was the incredible sound of the tenor saxophone, and I was desperate to play one myself. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Baden Powell, OS AFRO SAMBAS Gabriel Kahane, Book of Travelers Joni Mitchell, Turbulent Indigo All of these albums absolutely blew me away when I first heard them, and I felt compelled to listen to them countless times, sometimes without even taking a break in between listenings! In this way all of them feel like old musical friends. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I think the most special concert I've had the pleasure of playing is to a fantastic crowd at the amazing French festival, Jazz à La Petite France in Strasbourg. The audience were absolutely wonderful and the band and I had a riot! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There aren't enough words on the limit for me to properly answer this question, but I suppose in the vaguest sense I just want to do more -- more travelling, meet more great people, more concerts, more albums -- everything!
