In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was just two or three when I figured out Something to Talk About by Bonnie Raitt on the piano. My dad was always playing guitar and piano, so music was woven into my life from the very beginning. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Mayer, Heavier Things John Williams, John Williams - Greatest Hits 1969-1999 blink-182, Enema of the State / Take Off Your Pants and Jacket / Blink-182 The first time I heard Star Wars, I thought, what is that sound? I felt the same way at 13 hearing Dumpweed by Blink-182, and again at 16 with Bigger Than My Body by John Mayer. Each one hit me like nothing I’d heard before. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I spent a few days in the studio with KRS-One, and the moment he stepped to the mic, it was clear he was on another level. I’ve worked with countless rappers as an producer/engineer, but his presence and intensity were something entirely different.
