Mahmood

Singer, songwriter and pianist Mahmood draws on pop, R&B and hip-hop influences on songs he describes as “Morrocan pop”, though he was born and raised in Italy. • Mahmood rose to prominence on the sixth season of the Italian version of The X Factor, where he was eliminated in the third episode. • He attended music school after leaving the reality competition and released his first single, “Fallin’ Rain”, in 2013. • Mahmood’s debut LP, 2019’s Gioventù bruciata (“wasted youth” in Italian), hit the top of the Italian albums chart and included the No. 1 single “Soldi”.
