About Simeon Walker
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Aged 10, watching my piano teacher playing Rachmaninov's 2nd Piano Concerto and just feeling a huge urge to try and be like that. Whilst it hasn't worked out in the same way, I am so pleased to be making music, touring and performing as an artist. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Nils Frahm, Screws Sufjan Stevens, Carrie & Lowell Ólafur Arnalds, Living Room Songs I'm a huge fan of all of these artists; I admire their creativity and the soundworlds they create, but I especially love how they aren't afraid to strip everything back to the smallest, quietest, most intimate moments. For me, that is where beauty is Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Paean” This is my latest release, and a piece I'm really proud of. It's a little more defiant than usual, expressive and focuses on shifts of harmony. We filmed a stunning one-shot video on a cold, wintry hillside in England: https://youtu.be/LC7SUZRjGk0 What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing my music in venues across the UK and Europe - connecting with real people who love music is the very best thing.
