Caloncho

Caloncho is a Mexican singer and songwriter from Oregón, Sonora, purveyor of a sunny, optimistic brand of indie pop/rock with Mexican folk, reggae, bossa nova, and tropical influences. Released in September 2013, his debut EP, Fruta, earned Caloncho his first Latin Grammy nominations. It would be expanded into an album titled Fruta II. Successive releases (Bálsamo, Malvadisco, Buen Pez), found him further developing his style while cultivating an ever-growing audience enchanted with his idyllic beach-centered universe, both in Mexico and other Latin American countries. Tofu, his fifth studio outing, appeared in 2024.
