Founded in Melbourne in 2000, it continues to shape and reflect the evolving underground scene and has grown in stature while staying true to its roots. With a curatorial eye for innovation and emotional depth, the label is also known for its renowned Balance Series. In 2025, Balance launched its very own festival in Croatia—an intimate, open-air gathering in Tisno celebrating the label’s deep musical ethos.
