After making inroads in their own spaces, hip-hop artist Bhaktaaa and singer-songwriters Prissha, Suraj Iyer and Pancham come together for EP Yari Rd.—an intimate, versatile record that feels like an introspective all-night jam session. From Afropop beats to dance, rap and pop, there’s plenty going on here. “Phir Ek Baar” is as understated as it is soaring and “Bechaini” slips and slides with its dreamy R&B vibes and beautiful backing vocals. The quintet are clearly on the same wavelength across all six tracks, unafraid to experiment and lay their souls bare.
