Continuing a farewell campaign marked by 2025’s HASTA LUEGO (Vol. 1) and the corresponding El Último Baile concert tour, El Alfa glides into imminent retirement with the release of ADIOS. Commemorating some two decades worth of music, the 17-song set reaffirms the dembow style the Dominican star helped to pioneer and popularise, one full of irresistible hooks and audacious lyrics. He kicks things off with the stunning posse cut “PANTI Y COLALE 2.0”, which brings reggaetón luminaries like De La Ghetto and Zion into his sonic universe. While other guests like Ronny GTA and Nino Freestyle bring their talents to the minimalist “ABC” and the crunk-informed “RIPIAO”, respectively, the bulk of the tracks here are solo cuts, including such highlights as “96 AL REVES” and “LA PIERNA DE UN CONVERTIBLE”. Acknowledging a prevalent hip-hop influence on his work, he channels both Missy Elliott and O.T. Genasis on the trap-adjacent “COCO” and spits bilingual over the explicit “POPPIN' BOTTLES (PAPENBAROS)”.
