I created dubs from Radio airplay with my Dad's old tapes, most of which exposed me to the richness and diversity of African sound at a very young age. PARTYNEXTDOOR, PARTYNEXTDOOR T-Pain, Epiphany (Deluxe Version) Wizkid, Made In Lagos I enjoyed listening to these albums from start to finish, and I had on replay for quite some time. Tell us why you chose this song. I wrote this song during one of the darkest periods of my life, and it holds a deeply personal meaning for me. Creating it allowed me to process my emotions and find a path forward. It inspires me as a powerful reminder of how much I’ve grown. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments was being named one of Rolling Stone’s ‘25 Interesting Artists to Keep on Your Radar.’ It was a defining acknowledgement of my journey, pushing me to keep evolving and crafting music that resonates deeply.
