Tel Aviv singer and actress Efrat Ben Zur unleashed her mesmerising pop talents with her 2001 debut album, Tzolelet. Her vocals are in turn eerie and euphoric, sailing through sepulchral indie rock, beguiling lullabies and offbeat keys, while ethereal synth beats float around her. She’s also joined by prominent guest vocalist Eviatar Banai in the warm, string-laden ballad “Gam Hayam Nasog”, creating a compelling piece of alt-pop that set the stage for the remarkable releases to come.
