Mumbai-based producer, composer and bassist Bharath has become a defining creative force behind the many coming-of-age stories and worldviews of India’s Gen Z acts. Originally from New Delhi, he studied engineering and physics in college while honing his love for and building his skills in sound engineering and music production, turning his craft into his profession after graduation. Alongside playing bass for pop-rockers Kapow!, Bharath forged his most fruitful collaborations since relocating to Mumbai. Young artists such as Samad Khan, Kushagra and gini have all benefited from his sonic versatility. With Khan, Bharath helped shape the diverse sound of 2025 album Bemisaal. Earlier, he achieved a breakthrough with the affable “Finding Her” alongside Kushagra and Saaheal. In addition to gini’s “Naadaani”, Bharath was been tapped by singer Maahi for the EP Talab, which showcases a sublime yet moody pop sound.
