Thankfully, Amir Lev's 1998 release Pa'am Bachayim wasn't exactly true to its title—he had a string of haunting, beautiful hits through the '90s and ‘00s. Regardless, this record is a stunning selection of winsome folk rock songs, all rendered in aching tones with Lev's soft-spoken singing style and low, gravelly voice. The album's slow, plaintive title track—with its chiming guitars and lilting hook—was one of several stunners, all examples of music that sinks deeper with every listen.
