Kelantan-born Nora landed a recording contract at 18 following her win at Bintang HMI in 1991, then she married the late composer and producer Johan Nawawi. With him as her manager, she enjoyed a career defined by dreamy ballads, beginning with the evergreen “Di Persimpangan Dilema” in 1994. After scoring numerous hits, she embarked on a more ethnic and spiritual route in the 2000s and reinvented herself as an iconic Islamic entertainer.
