All 'n' All

All 'n' All

As the '70s slinked into decadence, so did Earth, Wind & Fire. By the band’s eighth album, Maurice White's funk machine counted its contributing musicians in the dozens; here they incorporate international flair in the form of Brazilian composer/arranger Milton Nascimento and Eumir Deodato. But even as EWF unspool the languid ballad "I'll Write a Song for You", atmospheric interludes like "In the Marketplace" and the oft-sampled "Beijo (aka Brazilian Rhyme)", they tighten up for propulsive jam "Jupiter", percussive workout "Runnin'" and pop smash "Fantasy".
