Austin TV

Progressive post-rock band Austin TV first came together in 2001 in Mexico City. The group is solely instrumental, striving to express a range of ideas and emotions without vocals or lyrics. Austin TV released their eponymous debut EP in 2002, followed a year later by their first full-length record, La Ultima Noche del Mundo. Inspired by the album's cover art, the bandmembers performed live wearing rabbit masks. Following their 2004 album, Asrael, Austin TV toured extensively before the arrival of their 2007 breakthrough concept album, Fontana Bella, which earned them wide recognition and a place on Mexican airplay charts. Behind "Leaf Men" masks, Austin TV performed at the SXSW festival, New York's LAMC, and Buenos Aires' Personal Festival. Caballeros del Albedrio arrived in 2011. ~ Evan C. Gutierrez
