In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up on Kano, Kirk Franklin and Lauryn Hill. I remember watching Kano's Ps and Qs video on tele and picking up a pen straight after. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kano, Home Sweet Home Kirk Franklin, The Nu Nation Project Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Home Sweet Home soundtracked my teenage years and made me feel seen as a young boy growing up in East London. Nu Nation Project pushed the boundaries of what Gospel music was at the time. Miseducation...need I say more? Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Fall on Me (feat. Wretch 32)” This song was the start of me attempting to be more honest in my songwriting, and it was a pleasure to collaborate with one of my inspirations, Wretch 32. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I remember walking into HMV and seeing my album in there, then walking into the Waterstones next door and seeing my book in there. Was proud that the music became a gateway for communicating my message in more ways like books, film and TV. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Everything from here on out is a bonus, already feel incredibly blessed.
