Brooke Combe

Scottish soul singer Brooke Combe prefers the old-school approach to soul, with an emphasis on live recordings committed to a tape machine, which results in a more authentic sound. Hailing from Edinburgh, Combe emerged onto the scene with her debut single, 2021's "Are You with Me?" Initial buzz led to her signing to Island Records, and although she was almost finished writing her debut album, she ended up leaving the label after finding the experience too restrictive. Preferring to forge her own path, she found a home on Modern Sky, which gave her the creative space she needed. She put the finishing touches on the record with the aid of producer James Skelly; Dancing at the Edge of the World saw release in 2025.
