Arthur Buck

A meeting of the minds between two celebrated figures in indie rock, Arthur Buck is a collaboration between gritty-voiced singer and songwriter Joseph Arthur and R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck. Arthur and Buck first met when Arthur opened a string of shows for R.E.M. in 2000, and Buck would occasionally pop up on-stage at Arthur's shows. But when Arthur crossed paths with Buck in Mexico in 2017, it sparked a collaboration, with the two writing 11 songs together in a matter of days. After a day in a recording studio and some work in their home studios, the self-titled debut album Arthur Buck, a rough but enthusiastic mix of indie rock and contemporary folk, appeared in June 2018. The two musicians gave their fans a second set of songs with the release of Arthur Buck 2 in 2025.
